Good Job! Kinda late to playing this. But it is a cool concept and love the puzzle aspect to it.

Thanks man, ill be pushing out a fix to the controls and some small bug fixes pretty soon.

This game has 3 major points of really poor accessibility to me:

  • I can’t switch characters in the opposite order by holding [Shift] while pressing [Tab] (Everywhere else in the Linux and Windows Desktop Systems, I can navigate to the previous thing by holding [Shift] while pressing [Tab], so this not being in the game mildly irritates me)
  • The text on the walls is hard to read since the text color clashes with its backgrond (the wall texture). This text should have its own single-color background to differentiate it from the wall.
  • The buttons on the main and failure menus should have key shortcuts indicated by the key name prefixing the rest of the button text. Every time I wanted to restart, I wished I could’ve just pressed [R] instead of moving my mouse.

Reguardless, I finished the game and I thought it was decent. Not every game needs to be great if the developer(s) tried something previously untried, which He did with this game. This is the nature of experimenting with game ideas: One time the result might be decent, but the other time the developer might make a smash hit. Experimenting with game ideas is really important because if the developer(s) don’t, the goodness ceiling for the game is not nearly as high.

If you’re the developer: Sorry, I hope the comment is not too harsh for you. When I had typed it, I still missed that this game was made for a game jam. Feel free to request the deletion of the comment if you want.

I was afraid this feedback could’ve been way too brutal when I found that the game was made in game jam.

It’s really great to read that the feedback is just as sensible as if the exact same game had not been made in a game jam.

4:14 - 8:17 Default Dungeon

I'm a bit late but I really enjoyed your project and had a lot of fun playing it!

Thanks man, really appreciate it

Awesome Idea Tauheed I love this game. P.S. 1-1 = 0 hehe i think...

Thanks Man, BTW 1-1 is 0 but its also Level 1 of Mario Bros, jus sayin

oh yeahhhhhhh makes sense now

so epic! I’ll definitely be giving this a shot later today after work

Thanks Man

Graphics are pretty nice man, greta job.

Thanks Man

love it! You have nailed the lost vikings vibe. Had so much fun but couldn't get past the first spikes, I could figure out how to build a ladder across the gap. The only thing I'd change is put the faces of the characters in the HUD with 1,2,3 next to them as I kept pushing the wrong number for the character I wanted. Also when one reaches the end the camera should snap back to the next available character. Otherwise... what can I say? love it! Oh and the music reminds me of the legend of zelda. great game.

Thanks man, everything you suggested was already on my list but I ran out of time. Ill probably keep working on this game and add some real rage inducing levels, who knows maybe a famous streamer will play it.

i like the puzzle part of the game

Thanks man, IMO the puzzles are what makes the game fun otherwise it'd just be another platformer.

epic game check out the game i made for the game jam https://the-orange-triangle-team.itch.io/dark-chaos

Cool, Ill have a look
